Isle Of Palms
Just over the IOP connector from Mount Pleasant, you will find the Isle of Palms, a seven-mile-long beach town. The Beach Company, in 1946, was among the first to start developing the island into what it is today. Over the years, this beach has been a notable vacation destination for its family-friendly beaches, easy walkability, and world-class resort. Isle of Palms County Park is the perfect spot to set up camp on long summer days, especially for families, offering lifeguards on duty, beach chair rentals, playgrounds, ice cream, restrooms, outdoor showers, and more. The park is a short walk to the island's restaurants, bars, and live music. One of the highlights of Isle of Palms is Wild Dunes Resort. This resort occupies 1,500 acres of the island's north end and offers two 18-hole golf courses, multiple tennis courts, pools, and a beachfront pavilion.
